Say Hello to the New NEXT DESIGNER

As the Project Lead Freelance Designer, I was engaged by the Technical PM at Focus 360 to redesign their VR home staging web app, Next Designer. This virtual model home platform provides homebuyers with an immersive preview of their future homes while enabling homebuilders to accelerate sales.

Project Lead Designer
I delivered the project from scoping to handoff, aligning timelines and providing the Product and Engineering teams with detailed design documentation. I independently created key deliverables, including a Moodboard, a redesigned responsive Next Designer web app, a custom-built design system, hi-fi mocks, a set of 21 custom icons for their interior design rendering platform, and interactive prototypes.

Responsive Design: Flow from Zero to One

User data showed that target users primarily use desktops and mobiles for model home design, so the deliverables included responsive designs for both platforms.

Custom Icon Sets

During prototyping, I identified the need for custom icons, starting with a few sketches that evolved into a complete icon set.

Appreciation from Focus 360

Steve Ormonde, Focus 360 President & Founder

I’ve been fortunate enough to working with some great designers over the years and Rosie is certainly one of them. She approaches each project with enthusiasm, communicates extraordinarily well during the process and delivers a terrific design each time. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, professional designer!

Paul Cardis, Focus 360 Technical Project Manager

Rosie helped our company tremendously in the development of UI/UX for a critical client application that was both web based and mobile responsive. I highly recommend her and already have recommended her for more projects!

Key Learnings
1
Custom Icons

What started as a request for a couple of custom icons, like a stove and cabinet, quickly grew into a full design project after the client loved the initial work. Despite it being my first time creating custom icons, the competitor analysis I conducted inspired the aesthetics, and the project evolved far beyond expectations. With a focus on supporting the client’s vision and passion for owning their icon set, I delivered a complete set that went live—strengthening the client relationship and expanding my design skills in ways I hadn’t anticipated.
